Intentional movement designed to meet you where you are.
What is Pilates?
Pilates was originally called Contrology — the practice of controlling your body with precision and intention.
At K Body, this means:
Knowing when to modify.
Understanding how to move safely.
Ability to make even the most basic movement feel challenging.
Progression isn’t about rushing to the next level. It’s about building control.
Class Levels
At K Body, our class structure is designed to help you build confidence, strength, and control on the reformer, safely and intentionally. Each level builds on the next, allowing you to progress while continuing to refine your foundation.
Even as you advance into Core Elevate, we strongly encourage all clients to continue taking Core Foundation and Core Essential classes. Returning to the fundamentals is what allows you to refine your form, deepen your strength, and continue progressing long-term.
-
This class introduces you to the reformer, its parts, and how it works, along with a simple, guided class structure. You’ll learn how to move safely and begin to understand the fundamentals before progressing into our Core Foundation classes.
Length: 45 minutesLevel: New Members Welcome
Equipment: Grip socks required (available for purchase in-studio)
LEVEL ONE
-
Build your base. Core Foundation focuses on foundational movements and exercise names, helping you become familiar with the reformer and how your body moves on it. This is where you develop the awareness and confidence needed to progress. We require clients to complete 10 Core Foundation classes (or receive approval from a lead instructor) before moving into Level 2.
Length: 50 minutesLevel: All levels welcome
Equipment: Grip socks required (available for purchase in-studio)
LEVEL TWO
-
Refine and build strength. Core Essential builds on your foundation, introducing more flow, coordination, and strength-based work. You’ll begin to move more fluidly through exercises while continuing to deepen your understanding of the reformer. We recommend completing at least 15 Core Essential classes (or receiving approval from a lead instructor) before progressing to Level 3.
Length: 50 minutesLevel: All levels welcome once Core Foundation has been completed.
Equipment: Grip socks required (available for purchase in-studio)
LEVEL THREE
-
Challenge your control. Core Elevate follows a similar workout structure to Core Essential, but includes more standing and balance-based movements on the reformer. These elements require increased control, stability, and body awareness. This level is designed for clients who feel confident with the reformer and are ready for a more dynamic challenge.
Length: 50 minutesLevel: Please ensure you have mastered Core Essentials before signing up for Core Elevate.
Equipment: Grip socks required (available for purchase in-studio)
Class Offerings
-
Core Classical is a reformer Pilates class rooted in traditional Pilates exercises and sequencing. This class focuses on precise movement, control, and deep core engagement while flowing through classical reformer work.
You can expect a mix of seated, kneeling, standing, and balance-based movements that challenge stability, coordination, and full-body strength. The pace and structure follow a more traditional Pilates approach while still delivering a strong and intentional workout.
Core Classical is listed as a Level 3 class due to the inclusion of standing and balance-focused movements on the reformer. These elements require a strong understanding of the equipment, body awareness, and control. We recommend that clients feel confident with the reformer and foundational movements before joining this class to ensure a safe and successful experience.
Length: 45 minutesLevel: Please ensure you have mastered levels 1 and 2 before signing up for this class.
Equipment: Grip socks required (available for purchase in-studio)
